Emergence of AMRI Hospitals brought international standard health care to Eastern India

Need for advanced treatment options has been on rise in India, due to the rapidly growing population and increasing health complications. Unfortunately  the answer to this need is still meager compared to its demand. There are more patients than hospital beds in the country.
However, rays of hope are there on the horizon. Private sector Hospitals and groups such as AMRI Hospitals have emerged  to offer highly advanced world class medical care.
Today, AMRI Hospitals Ltd. is a renowned group  in eastern India with 1000 beds and over 500 doctors. The group has a record of completing 10,000 surgeries successfully every year. AMRI has its  super specialty units located at Salt Lake, Mukundapur, Dhakuria and Bhubaneswar, in Odisha.  Along with these units, there is a state of the art day care facility - AMRI Medical Centre at Southern Avenue, Kolkata. Now AMRI Group of Hospitals is on a super fast growth track with its new breakthroughs in treatment facilities at affordable cost.

How AMRI health care revolution began

Back in early 1990s the Government of West Bengal handed over the charge of ‘Niramoy’ - a Government owned Polyclinic  at  Dhakuria, to Mr. Shravan Todi of Shrachi Group. Soon after becoming in-charge, Mr. S K Todi invited Emami and another promoter, to start Advanced Medicare & Research Institute Ltd.
The institute emerged as a super specialty hospital with significant investment to offer high quality and most advanced  treatment facilities. As time passed, the name finally changed to AMRI Hospitals Limited in 2009. Emami Group’s visible contribution to the AMRI  Hospital was in form of passionate entrepreneurship.  It was Emami who first corporatized private sector health care in eastern India.
Now with the infusion of new investments and guidance of dynamic new board of Directors, under the leadership of the Group CEO, Mr. Rupak Barua, AMRI Hospital Group  is now on a super-fast track with new unique facilities at different units

Backed by a dedicated team of doctors, technicians, nurses and patient service staff, along with the finest technologies, the hospital's objective is to provide true value for money and complete patient satisfaction. The management initiative ensures transparency, co-ordination and face of humanity in its administration.
