Mapping the achievements, healthcare initiatives and contributions of AMRI Hospitals, Kolkata in March 2019


Providing uninterrupted healthcare services to patients, AMRI Hospitals of Kolkata, has always been on the forefront of the country’s healthcare segment. Taking charge of society’s health and well being, it has been steadfast in its commitment to serve the best to the patients. The month of March was no exception in terms of healthcare campaigns and initiatives undertaken by the hospital.
The units of AMRI Hospitals at Kolkata started off the month with a comprehensive health check-up camp for Calcutta Motor Dealers’ Association and its members on March 2nd, 2019. Following this, it came up with an exclusive NRI Privilege Health Card, offering wide-ranging benefits to Indians living in different parts of the world, along with an introductory 10% discount on dental and eye care on March 3rd, 2019.
A health check-up Camp was also organised by the hospital at the Metro Rail on March 6th, 2019. Celebrating International Women’s day with a major focus on their health and well being, the units of AMRI Hospitals at Kolkata offered 50% discount to the first eight women seeking healthcare services and introduced special packages for screening and diagnosis. It also organized Health Talks at Metro Cash ‘n’ Carry and RIL, addressed by Dr Harpreet Kaur, and at Visa Steel by Dr Irina Dey. The celebrations of International Women’s day also took place at SBI LHO, Samriddhi Bhawan.
Considering the complexity of fertility treatments, the hospital offered fertility (IVF) consultation on 8-9 march, 2019. Apart from this, AMRI Hospitals, Kolkata, organized a Health Talk at Wipro on Stress Management, addressed by Dr Debasish Saha, and a health awareness programme at PS Group, a health camp at Newlife Nursing home, Baruipur, , on 8th March. Attaining a great response, the hospital further organized a health check-up camp at Thomas Cook, health talk at Gitanjali Park by Dr Dipayan Biswas on Upper Respiratory Tract Infection (URTI), and a health awareness programme by Dr Rakhi Sanyal at Hindustan Unilever on 9th March.
March proved to be a month of achievements for AMRI Hospitals at Kolkata, with felicitation from  the State Bank of India Officer’s Association and the National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC).
Later, a health check-up camp and a sit-and-draw competition was organised at Sodepur Waterside Housing Complex, along with Health Check-up Camp at Chinsurah, Hooghly, on 11th March. It was followed by an awareness session on back pain and back pain training programme at the hospital seminar hall, besides a free health screening camp at RIL- retail, Cuttack on the same day.
Observing World Kidney Day, AMRI Hospitals introduced a special Kidney care package, starting at just Rs 799 on 13th March. Dr Ranjan Sarkar, the head of nephrology at AMRI Hospitals, Salt Lake, discussed about kidney ailments, and effectual treatments at a health awareness program. In an effort to spread awareness regarding the issues concerning Kidney care and well-being, Dr Arghya Majumdar, director of nephrology & kidney transplantation at AMRI Hospitals, Dhakuria, interacted with patienst and family members at the hospital on 15thMarch.
Having equal reverence for all the festivals of country, AMRI Hospitals, celebrated Holi with a special 30% discount on its dental services, including consultation, teeth whitening, polishing and scaling. This was followed by Eastern India’s first workshop cum symposium on lympho venous diseases on 23rd March, where the hospital also launched an awarensss campaign.
In view of World Tubercolosis Day, AMRI Hospitals took robust measures to spread awareness around the endemic illness of tuberculosis, and eliminate the disease completely. Keeping up with its history of proactively promoting health and well-being, AMRI Hospitals came up with a #FreeHealthScreeningCamp at Odisha’s state civil supplies corporation led by its medical expert Dr S Das, on 26th March.
A special BLS training programme for the CISF Unit at Airport Authorities of India was also organised by AMRI Hospitals, Kolkata, on 27th March. Addressed by Dr Dipankar Saha, the event witnessed great level of participation from the audience. The hospital came up with #OrthopedicAwareness Program, to raise awareness regarding the vitality of our body’s musculoskeletal system, at Sodepur Club on 28th March.
Ending the month on a great emphasis upon the importance of good health, AMRI Hospitals’ senior consultant, Dr Bastab Ghosh and Dr Ritesh Kauntiya led the very first day of #freemedicalcamp, screening patients and making them health-aware, at Khulna Nagar Swasthya Kendra, Bangladesh, on 30th March.
The healthcare campaigns and initiatives undertaken by AMRI Hospitals hold a testimony to its unwavering commitment to bolster Kolkata’s health care segment.
